Deep Roots Abstract Painting Set — Set of Two Abstract Cold Wax and Oil Paintings

This set of two original paintings depicts the raw earth in abstract blues and rusts, trees thriving with their deep roots in the soil. Titled “Deep Roots” and “Welcomed Shade,” the paintings pair to create a statement about our place on this planet’s surface—putting down roots when it allows, accepting its unwarranted gifts with gratitude.

Painted with cold wax and oil on wood panels, the pieces measure 8” square and 2” deep. They are fitted with sawtooth hangers for wall display, and the sides have a natural finish. Each is signed and dated.

MY ARTIST STATEMENT—painting is a daily exercise for me, as I continue to discover ways to express myself through art. As an assemblage artist, exploring this medium opens up a different portal, so to speak. Different textures, colors, shapes, and even sounds, emerge with each new piece. My goal is to create work that represents how I see the world around me, and at the same time, work that others can bring into their own surroundings and attach to it their own interpretation.
