Abstract Purple Tulip Oil Painting — Original Cold Wax and Oil Floral Painting

This original floral painting depicts a vase overflowing with purple tulips, green foliage visible through the full flowers. The neutral background allows the colors of the piece to come to life. I have always held that flowers are not for special occasions but for everyday, and I am quite happy to give them as a gift to myself.

The painting measures 5” x 7” plus a .25” margin and includes an off-white mat that measures 8" x 10". Done in cold wax and oil on archival paper, the piece is signed and dated. FRAME NOT INCLUDED.

MY ARTIST STATEMENT—painting is a daily exercise for me, as I continue to discover ways to express myself through art. As an assemblage artist, exploring this medium opens up a different portal, so to speak. Different textures, colors, shapes, and even sounds, emerge with each new piece. My goal is to create work that represents how I see the world around me, and at the same time, work that others can bring into their own surroundings and attach to it their own interpretation.
