Found Object Assemblage with Book Quote — Assemblage with Book Theme — Bookshelf Assemblage with Book Theme

This found-object assemblage incorporates an Arabian proverb into a small collection of related objects. There is a finial from a garden gate, an antique key, dried leaves and moss, and a scrap of a stereoscope photo of a tree line. Hanging from a rusty hook are vintage baubles, and a leather-bound book created from vintage pages rests in the garden.

Around an antique wheel is the proverb, making the piece interactive. The proverb reads, "A book is like a garden carried in the pocket."

Created in a small vintage drawer with its original ceramic pull, the assemblage measures 5.75" x 5" and 2" deep, and it is designed to be displayed on a bookshelf or table with your other treasures.
