This original painting features a rustic, white house in an abstract blue/green landscape. The setting is weathered and well-worn, years spent hosting friends and loved ones for enjoyable evenings in a hospitable home. Within the landscape is etched (mostly illegibly), a quote from Ernest Heminway's "A Moveable Feast." It reads, "But you knew there would always be the spring, as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen."

Medium: Cold wax and oil on birch panel

Details: Intentionally unframed, the sides are finished with an off-white matte wash with weathered feel, and the panel is fitted with wire for hanging. Signed and dated.
