This found-object assemblage combines the finer elements of life—music, literature, and light—with elements of the natural world. You'll find piano keys and a chandelier crystal, an antique bottle filled with bits of a 1900 novel, a crystal drawer pull and a vintage bauble. And it all fits in with wood scrap, dried moss, bark, and a Canada goose feather. The photo is an antique stereoscope image of the great falls in Yellowstone National Park.
At the base of the assemblage is a quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson, reading, "Adopt the pace of nature. Her secret is patience." The sentiment matched the vintage watch face as a reminder to slow down.
The assemblage measures 5" x 15" (including drawer pulls) and 4" deep, and it is designed to be displayed on a bookshelf or table with your other treasures, or displayed on a wall (fitted with wire for hanging).

MY ARTIST STATEMENT—Painting is a daily ritual for me, as I continue to discover ways to express myself through art. My goal is to create artwork that represents how I see the world around me—or how I hope it could be, a place where mercy, benevolence, and peace are commonplace and can be found around any corner, under any tree, or beside any stream. At the same time, I desire to create meaningful work that others forge a deep connection to and bring into their own home as a unique expression of who they are.
