Original Painting of Landscapes in Antique Frame, Framed Cold Wax and Oil Landscape, Abstract Landscape Diptych

This original abstract diptych done in cold wax and oil is framed in an antique printer tray for a unique, artistic statement. With all the small letter compartments removed, the two remaining sections of the tray are now home to two corresponding abstract landscape paintings. Land, sea, and sky come together in the pieces, which can be viewed as two individual scenes or as one continued scene. The paintings are done on archival paper, which are mounted on acid-free foam core.

MY ARTIST STATEMENT—painting is a daily exercise for me, as I continue to discover ways to express myself through art. As an assemblage artist, exploring this medium opens up a different portal, so to speak. Different textures, colors, shapes, and even sounds, emerge with each new piece. My goal is to create work that represents how I see the world around me, and at the same time, work that others can bring into their own surroundings and attach to it their own interpretation.
